& More poems:

skins streched out to form the skylight

the night made a tent from our skins/

and we stay in ourselves

in shelter.

between these skins,

longing is a brutal animal

that doesn’t let go//

parading

with its claws out.

between these skins

honey drips & drips

in the rhythm of your breath &

i bathe into your warm organs &

the pains & dreams

tucked

in between.

between these skins i see

unrehearsed power.

joy that is boiling.

between these skins,

i apologise to myself

for what i asked myself to be.

between these skins i cry with permission.

between these skins i observe and touch

with my eyes

uninterrupted.

between these skins black sands glowing.

the purest oxygen.

between these intertwined skins

we become a womb

for each other.

a crescendo-womb,

a womb cave,

a return for something we long for

but have no memory of.

(an embryo floating in space.

the ecstasy of non-being/

the stars-

a dance score to read

in amiotic fluid.

the alien-gods

are caressing

our umbilical cords/

Tenderly)
